gnuchess software package provides Plays a game of chess, either against the user or against itself, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnuchess
gnuchess is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnuchess package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnuchess *
You will get with gnuchess package name, version, architecture and description in a table
